REMEMBERING KING OF POP

That insane moonwalk, lightning speed and electrifying dance moves, exquisite stage presence, a true rock-star persona and a number of legendary songs, these were the gifts that were given to the world by the man who we miss till this date. So let's remember the King Of Pop today on his birthday.

Micheal Jackson as a musician started

doing music at an early age when he formed his first band The Jackson 5 with his brothers back in 1964, but he rose to popularity when he started his solo career in 1971 and rose to stardom with the release of his fifth album “Off the Wall” in 1979.

His album Thriller was Grammy Winning record that was released in 1984. And during his career, MJ collaborated with some of the artists from the Rock genres like Orianthi, who has been his official guitarist in most of his tours, Slash, Paul McCartney and the actor Macaulay Culkin.

But towards the late 80’s Michael became and known figure of controversies and talks, first being his change of appearance from a black American to a white man, because very little people knew that back then MJ was facing racism in the industry itself that was dominated by the white American artists and so he went through a strange kind of transformation that involved cosmetic surgeries.

The second controversy that was surrounding him was that he was sort of accused with changing his gender and the most known controversy was the pedophilia charges in 1993, and showing off his child from the window of his house. He was charged with molestation and sexual assault and the trial went until 2009. Such was the case that no one even cared or cares to know what happened behind the scene.

In 2009, when he was preparing for his one last tour THIS IS IT, he died of cardiac arrest

resulted by an overdose of propofol prescribed by his personal physician. But his autopsy tells a different story, there was a mixture of different pills in his stomach and that his death’s cause still remains a mystery till this date. It is truly said that fame and glory can either make you or break you and such was the case with Micheal Jackson. THIS IS IT tour could have been his one last chance to rebuild what he lost and make up his time for when he went MIA from the industry.

Sadly, things went even worse after his death as he was still ridiculed for his controversies and he became a subject of internet trolling and memes, even before meme was even a thing. However, we can’t deny the fact that he left a major impact in the music industry and his legacy is impeccable. He influenced a lot of people in the industry itself who tried later to create that kind of vibe with their live performance and stage presence like high value production, extravagant costume and an exquisite spectacle.

MJ even showed his humanitarian side through charity, and activism for cancer patients and environment through his songs, “heal the world”, “Earth song”, racism and corruption in the song “they don’t care about us”, and his involvement in the song “we are the world”.

His death leaves an unfilled void in our hearts each year when we remember him on this day. I still remember listening to his songs a lot as a kid and while growing up. MJ’s music has been a part of my life and will always be. No matter how controversial his lifestyle might have been and no matter how much he was consumed by the fame and glory, he will still remain the style icon, musical genius and the undisputed King Of Pop as always.
