INGREDIENTS
âȘ 2 tablespoon ghee. âȘ Paneer - 500gms. âȘ 1 teaspoon cumin seeds / jeera âȘ 1 bay leaf / tejpatta âȘ Cinnamon stick / dalchini âȘ 1 large finely chopped onion âȘ 1 teaspoon ginger paste âȘ 1 teaspoon garlic paste âȘ 1 teaspoon red chili paste âȘ 1 cup tomato puree âȘ 1 teaspoon turmeric / haldi âȘ 1 teaspoon coriander powder /dhania powder âȘ 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder /jeera powder âȘ 1/2 teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder âȘ Salt - swaad anusaar âȘ 1/2 cup whisked yogurt âȘ Crushed kasuri methi /dry fenugreek leaves
METHOD
Step 1- Take a pan and heat 2 tablespoon ghee in it. Then add cumin seeds, bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Saute till it turns aromatic. Step 2- Then add chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Then add ginger paste, garlic paste and chili paste. Step 3- Then add the tomato puree and saute it till it releases oil from the sides. Step 4- Then add salt, turmeric, coriander powder and cumin powder to it. Step 5- Saute the masala till the raw smell goes off. Step 6- Add little water and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Step 7- Then add the whisked yogurt and mix it in low flame. Step 8- Add the paneer cubes to it. Step 9- Add water according to the required gravy and let it simmer in medium flame for 3-4 minutes. Step 10- Now add crushed kasuri methi and turn off the gas. Step 11- Serve hot with butter roti or jeera rice.
