INGREDIENTS FOR BATTER: 🔸1 cup rava / semolina / suji 🔸½ cup curd 🔸salt to taste 🔸½ cup water
FOR TOPPINGS: 🔸1 finely chopped onions 🔸1 finely chopped capsicum 🔸1 grated carrot 🔸1 finely chopped tomatoes 🔸Few chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves 🔸2 finely chopped green chilies 🔸Salt to taste. Step 1- Combine all ingredients for the toppings together in a bowl and keep aside.
INSTRUCTIONS Step 1- Take a large bowl and combine the rava, curd and salt into it. Mix well until the curd is combined well. Step 2- Further add half a cup of water accordingly until it achieves a pouring consistency. Step 3- Let the batter rest for 15 minutes. At this stage you would see the rava absorbing well. So add little more water and adjust the consistency. Step 4 - Heat a tawa and pour little oil to it. Spread the oil evenly in the tawa using a brush or a spoon. Step 5- Now pour the rava batter into small uttapam and top it with the prepared toppings. Then pour 1 tsp oil around the uttapam. Step 6- Cover and cook in medium flame for a couple of minutes or until the base is cooked well. Step 7- Flip over and cook the other side for a minute or so. Step 8- Serve hot and enjoy the instant rava/suji uttapam with your choice of sauce or chutney.
