Onatma, by Dyou and Nesel
The song: - Lock down has been extended and with that comes boredom and people wants
something new to listen to on their stereos. Worry not, as today we bring you our very first featured artist Dyou and Nesel on this series, who have released their debut single called “Onatma” in March 2020.
Lyrics and tone: - The RnB duo from Assam did a tremendous job on its composition and lyricism that depicts the scenario of a modern day relationship that ends up happy but takes a bad turn. Composition is simple yet very catchy, and has an early 2000’s RnB and Rap tone, with beautiful singing and emotional rap, in verses and chorus lines. The overall composition is promising and well executed.
Sound and musicality and Performance: - The duo shine on in its production value and tonality, and musically it’s something new to the hip hop scene of Assam. But the thing that steals the show is the music cum lyrical video that accompanied the song. The overall sound and performance was impressive.
Final thoughts: - A must listen for the hip hop, EDM and RnB fans and is a recommended song for your playlist. An honest 8/10 rating.
