April is here and with that comes new music and new artists, some get discovered and some, well, not so much. Which is why, today, we bring to you another episode of Raw Star.
Neo Folk and Uku-Folk is finally getting its place in the North Eastern region ever since
artists like Taba Chake made folk songs popular with his ability to play finger style guitar and ukulele with folk inspired lyrics and tone.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Taba Chake, Neo Folk singer Khanindra Das from Assam, currently based in Bengalore, is right now doing an awesome job in promoting the genre in our land as well as our country.
His new song “Back to you” has a soundscape which gives us the fresh smell of the marshy soil near the river banks and flows soothingly like the waves of the water.
Khanindra, as an artist, has also collaborated with some other talents from Assam like Suzonn into some of his songs as well.
Apart being a musician, Khanindra is an Engineer as well as a photographer.
