A quick veg snack you can enjoy this quarantine. Enjoy this tasty Indian fast food amidst lockdown!


This is a very easy recipe I'm sharing today. Make this and surprise your family this quarantine.


BUTTER MISAL PAV.

Preparation time: 15 mins

Cook time: 20 mins

Serves: 4


Ingredients

2 cups mixed sprouts.

1 tbsp tamarind pulp or lemon

1 medium sized potato chopped finely

1 tomato chopped finely

two pinches of asafoetida (hing)

1 tsp black mustard seeds

1 tsp jeera

10-12 fresh curry leaves

2 medium sized onion chopped finely

2 tbsp butter

2 green chilies chopped finely

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp coriander seed powder

2 tbsp of red chilli powder

1 tsp roasted cumin powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp sugar

Salt - Swaad Anusaar.

RECIPE

Step 1- Rinse the mixed sprouts in a bowl with water and then put it in the cooker with three cups of water along with diced potato cubes, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt.

Step 2- Cook it in the pressure cooker up to 3 whistles.

[Until then prepare for the rest of the ingredients]

Step 3- Heat the butter in a pan or kadhai. Add mustard seeds, cumin seed, pinch of hing, green chillies and the curry leaves.

Step 4- Then add chopped onions, and saute till golden brown.

Step 5- Now put the ginger- garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes off.

Step 6- Add chopped tomatoes, sugar and salt.

Step 7- Now add Jeera powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and combine the masala.

Step 8- Pour the tamarind pulp and fry along with the masala. Step 9- Add the boiled sprouts only after the masala cooks well. Add water if required.

Step 10- Cook until the gravy thickens. Add garam masala in the end.

Step 11- Serve hot along with butter pav (buns) and salad.


For toppings, Sprinkle chopped onions, mixed farsan, sev and drizzle with 3-4 drops of lemon juice, add a cube of butter and you're ready to go!! You're quarantine snacking is ready!🍱🤩
