As I child I heard that pen is mightier than a sword and f***** hell it turned out to be true in most cases as because few of my statements and posts over the social media once kind of got me into trouble. Which is why now I take a second guess even before penning something.
You know? People says that we live in a free country and our constitution gives us the freedom of speech, but little did I knew that, that freedom had a price to pay. Once I created a post as well as a video regarding the influences of Satanic fundamentals or the indulgence of the Illuminati as well as Pagan beliefs in our music scene, one guy warned me about the trouble I was walking into which I didn’t paid heed to and what it got me in return, hatred and gossip in the scene.
So now, I am very much careful with what to speak about and my choices of word. The thing is that in this
God damn country one just can’t have a f**** opinion and you will be judged, whether you have a positive opinion or a negative one. Thing is, if you do some good stuffs with your content, a section will criticize and if you do something cringey with your content then also some people will criticise. But the amount to negative criticism is on good content rather than on the cringe because since 2018 and this whole “meme” culture itself, cringe is the one that sells most. But bro, I ain’t the one who be doin’ what them pansies wants me to do, hell no!
Things is, that, you need to learn to play with your words, give a subtle hint in a sarcastic tone that you are poking a nasty joke on something that you despise rather than being direct with your opposing. Because since pen is your weapon, you need to learn the art of slinging it like a cowboy and shoot those words like bullet and hit the one where it hurts them instead of shooting at blank targets. That’s the lesson that I learn, because if you are direct in your approach nobody gives a damn f*** and would call you an attention seeker and will take you for an annoyingly nosy hag.
Same thing happens in the other media itself. Maybe today you have revealed about some deep conspiracy in a News Paper, chance is that tomorrow your life might be at threat. You might have written about genocides in your book or poem or songs, chances is that these might get banned or censored. So now tell me, where is that freedom of speech we heard in our social studies classes in seventh or eighth standard?
Been asking that question for long but now I don’t want no answers, why? Because I realized that it’s better to turn deaf ear and break from the shackles and prisons set by the society and these triggered people, because Kishore Kumar, in his song, himself said, KUCH TOH LOG KAHENGEY, LOGO KA KAAM HAI KEHNA, as well as Slipknot, in one of their song, said, PEOPLE = S****. So, it’s better to follow what your heart says and use that pen as your weapon of choice and do a revolution in an artistic way.
criticism is the part of our profession and without it you will be unable to judge whether your going good or bad!!!!
