Klinefelter's syndrome is a chromosomal disorder in men due to nondisjunction of a pair of X chromosome during cell division.
Klinefelter's syndrome is the basic cause of occurence of transgender characteristics.
But the above written definition can be found by anyone in any biology book and to know the real happening of the disorder let's proceed.
Cause of klinefelter's syndrome:
We humans along with other mammals in this earth reproduce sexually. And therefore we have a vivid chance for evolution and also a chance for defect.
Klinefters syndrome is a disorder that arises during the transfer of genes from parents to their progeny ( off springs).
Human beings have 46 chromosome i.e. 23 pairs of chromosome and during the division of the cell, the process of making a new born these chromosomes get divided into 23 chromosomes and wait for the partner to give the other 23 and make a total of 46.
There are 2 types of cell division in human body, termed meiosis and mitosis.
Meiosis is the cell division taking part in reproduction process. It itself is a complex mechanism and have many phases, but the main two are meiosis I and meiosis II. During meiosis one the pair chromosomes get divided from 46 to 23 and gets descended to the new forming cell ( future baby) . But a blunder sometimes occur when 1 pair from the mother does not get separated and gets descended as a whole. Now, the new born will be having two X and one Y chromosome i.e. XXY . In general a male human have one X and one Y and this results in klinefelter's syndrome in local called kinnar.
Symptoms of the disorder:
Taller height, infertility, reduced or zero sperm counts, reduced facial and body hairs, enlarged breast size, reduced size of penis (micropenis) and a psychological erge to be a girl. They also are prone to diabetes hypertension stress and anxiety.
Why did I choose this particular topic:
Transgender in our society is still a cause for discrimination and prejudice. 50% people in our society thinks being transgender is a choice which is merely not true. This is a pure genitic disorder for which no one is responsible as separation of chromosome during meiosis is too random.
My motive to write on this topic was to create awareness and make people know about this totally natural phenomenon mostly comprehended as unatural. It's time we see the cause hidden behind and accept them not only in front of the law and order but into our hearts.
